John Hart Model 10 Alaskan Cedar - Birds Eye Maple Classical Guitar with deluxe hardshell case

Village Music is proud to be an authorized dealer of Hart's Guitars Ltd Co., locally crafted by hand in Atlanta.
This one-of-a-kind classical guitar is John's take on an 1867 Francisco Gonzalez design. He had a much more flamboyant rosette and binding style than most modern builders. Following suit, John's outer ring is made up of three slices of different species of wood bent to circles. From the outer layer goin in: Brazilian Rosewood, Spanish Cedar, Cocobolo Rosewood. The big slightly raised outer ring is mahogany with a thing edge of Brazilian Rosewood.
The soundboard is Alaskan Yellow Cedar. The binding that flows along its perimeter is made up of three different species—Cocobolo Rosewood, Maple, & Chakte Viga—which meet at the corner. The sides are Bird’s Eye Maple.
Featuring a canary wood fingerboard and Brazilian Rosewood center strip, some might say this instrument is the ideal balance of art and luthery science.
