Epiphone Les Paul 2010 Tribute Cherry Sunburst

Epiphone Les Paul 2010 Tribute This guitar is in pristine condition. There are no dings in the finish, however there are three very small surface marks which keep this from being truly mint. I may be nitpicking, but they are difficult to see unless you catch them in the light the right way and difficult to photograph. One is on the horn, one near the front straplock, and a couple on the back edge by the control cover. Again, they are difficult to see and do not impact the appearance of the guitar IMO. The case does have some scuffs and small tears in the tolex, but it does it's job.

This is as close as you can get to an actual original "Gibson" in an Epiphone guitar. The fit and finish on this particular model is exceptional. The sunburst job is pro, the grain on the top cap has great character for a plain top, and the ribbons in the mahogany on the back of the guitar are just beautiful! Combine this with actual Gibson '57 PAF humbuckers, 50's wiring with Mallory caps, and Switchcraft 3-way and jack and it's a recipe for great tone. Often overlooked in this model is the "deep set" or long tenon neck. This means the neck tenon extends past the fingerboard and into the first humbucker cavity instead of stopping short of it. It is also thicker. This provides greater wood to wood contact and greater sustain. Gibson themselves stopped producing the long tenons in the 70's to save money. This guitar plays great and has been professionally setup with a low action. You see Tribute Plus and 60's Tributes all over eBay, but you rarely find the 2010 Tribute...
