The Accuphase DC-91, released in Japan in 1992, is an audiophile-targeting high-fidelity digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that features Accuphase's proprietary high-performance technology. A salient feature is Accuphase's Multiple Multi-Bit (MMB) digital-to-analog converter (DAC) concept, which actually consists of eight 20-bit DACs operated in parallel (16 total). This technical innovation enabled significantly enhanced performance by all important metrics, including perfect linearity. Noise is reduced to the theoretical Overall vibrations are highly attenuated by both the rugged chassis construction and the advanced mechanical design. Limit for a 20-bit system.
