Tone Specific is now making Virgil Arlo reissues & they almost certainly sound great too but this set we are selling is a real deal set of Arlo's made by the man himself. The new TS Arlo reissues have tan labels and don't have the burlap sacks.
We were proud to be a Virgil Arlo Dealer & this is an original White Label Arlo set that comes in the original box and even includes the Virgil Arlo card. This is one the last sets in our stash. It's from 2019 & they've never been installed.
Virgil Arlo Pickups are not cheap but everyone that plays them says they are better than vintage pickups which makes them a pretty good deal at this price.
Some guys are willing to pay $100,000 for a Dumble modified Fender amp, you can spend far less to get an amazing set of pickups made by Virgil Arlo to elevate your tone to a pro level.
These pickups are used by a lot of session players & touring pro's. You can find a bunch of pro's that vouch for them on youtube. You see guys talking about how they use them in all of their guitars and how they replace their vintage pickups with these. You can can also find pro testimonials at the Virgil Arlo site. Chances are if you are here, you already know about all of this.
Pickups by elite winders like Virgil Arlo are hard to come by. The field is getting smaller with Tom Holmes also retiring recently. These are fairly priced when you consider that the retired Alan Hamel Tele sets sell in the $3k range.
It's hard to describe what makes them so great but they have a really unique feel & warmth to them. They are just a lot of fun to play.
California residents & many other states to pay sales tax. Shipping is $25 in the US & $50 for international customer. We try to ship everything in our shop within 2 business days of payment clearing.
