So, I really love this guitar, it is so easy to play and the P90's are amazing sounding. Although it says Fender, it feels so much like a Le Paul to me with the shorter set neck and Tune-o-matic bridge. The only reason I am parting with it, is just that I have too many Guitars, basses :-)
Finish and play wise, guitar is in mint condition (barely played; never gigged) no scratches, dings, chips, cracks, and has recently been professionally set-up.
This really is better than new, as I made significant upgrades/mods, none of which are irreversible or required new holes or routes:
Tuners have been upgraded to GraphTec Ratio locking tuners, replacing the stock tuners. No drilling was required. IMO all guitars should have locking tuners, changing strings is super easy and it stays in tune!
The original pickup selector switch felt really cheap, so the switch was upgraded to a crisp Les Paul internal switch. Original switch is included.
I am including two pickguards (one black, and one brown tortoise), replacing the stock white one - I was not crazy about the all white and I love the tortoise shell. All 3 pickguards are included (white guard still has the protective plastic).
I replaced the cheap looking black plastic pickup covers and the plastic knobs with real chrome metal replacements (not coated plastic).
Th original "Jim Adkins" was buffed off, you can't tell it was ever there. I was not a fan of the signature, looked terrible to me.
Overall these Jim Adkins guitars are really well designed and and sound fantastic, but Fender cut some corners, so, I upgraded it to where I think it should have been. I have put a few hundred into it, so better than new!
