About This Listing

I bought this in Seattle back in the late 80's at Al's Guitar Ville.  I had 6100's fret wire installed along with graphite nut and saddle and a set of Fender tuners which say Patent No and numbers.  See pictures.   The rest of the guitar is the way it came from the guitar store.

The bad; the nut had been removed for a different Tremelo system; the body had been cut by the bridge to accommodate the Tremelo system. The tunning peg holes were widened for Schaller's.  So, there is a tiny extra hole. and there is one extra string guide hole.  The pictures will show these.

You will see the neck nut and tremolo had at one time been modified with a different system.  The pickups are Seymour Duncan.  The pick guard is original (except for the small toggle switch), the shielding plate is original, the body is Fender that had been repainted Dakota Red by the previous owner.

Original bridge. The serial number plate is rusted and pitted.  Serial # L07470.  The bridge saddles were replaced with graphite.     The neck is original (the date on the neck and the serial number match)  The frets have been replaced with 6100's and have lots left.  The neck is in great condition.  There are two screw holes filled where the tremelo backplate goes.

The guitar comes in at 7lbs 2 oz and reads 1.6575 at the nut and 2.1665 at the 21st fret.  The white on the neck is white out for larger position markers and wipes off easily.

The saddles were rusted and pitted and the tuners that came with it were hard pressed to work. I checked the house for these parts and no luck.  The years have a way of doing that.

There is a 5 position selector and the toggle switch will bring in all three pickups or the two outside pickups.  The tremelo works well.  I have strung it with D'Addario 10-46. This is a player which served me well over the years.

I do more acoustic writing now and have other electrics to record with.
Thanks for  reading and happy pickin.

The shipping is for Canadian Provinces and Territories.   You will need to contact me if you are wanting this out of Canada so I can get the proper quote.    Thanks for reading and feel free to reach out with any questions about Seattle Red.
