This particular extremely customized and classy example, features a highly figured Quilt Old-Growth Redwood top, top tortoise binding and 3-ply white/black/white purfling.
Nothing sounds quite like the mellow yet ultra lively shimmer, you get from old-growth Redwood. Especially wood like this, that has had 100 years to dry. This guitar is very loud acoustically, with tone that is more than satisfying. When plugged in the mix of the Lollar Low Wind Imperial Humbuckers and the highly acoustic Redwood body, meld together in a beautiful, airy, dreamy way. This instrument has a beautiful Macassar Ebony fingerboard with a 12" radius. It is a true joy to hold and play. The Lollar Low-Wind Imperials in this guitar sound incredible with 3D clarity clean, yet they also take gain extremely well, with overtones and harmonics that just leap off the fretboard.
