About This Listing
Thanks for looking!
The Gibson ES-175 is an iconic guitar and the "single PAF" version such as the one you see here is a jazzer's dream. One neck pickup is all your really need! Just ask Wes!
This model was used by many jazz legends from Wes Montgomery to Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, Jim Hall and many others they can simply deliver the goods when it comes to vintage jazz tone. They can also be driven into serious rock or blues territory.
Super solid neck set
1 & 9/16th inches at the nut
Very comfortable rounded medium C neck profile - not a pencil neck! Has a good deal of depth front to back.
Original frets are in good condition! No dents or divots and they still play quite nicely!
Serial number 529896 dates this to early/mid 1966
Period correct replacement Kluson tuners
Gibson style ABR-1 bridge
Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickup installed - sounds excellent!
Gibson brand vol / tone knobs
Pro upgraded 500k linear CTS audio taper pots - work perfectly and sound great
The guitar seems to have a repair done on the back of the headstock. I don't have any information regarding this issue, but this doesn't effect it's playability in any way.
Vintage brown lined tan exterior hardcase included as pictured
