A handsome milled hardware set to complete your lapsteel build or restoration.
The bridge dimensions are a total length of 4.5", a height from base to saddle top(strings) is .65", and it depth is 1.25".
It's got 3/8" string spacing, or 2.625" total outer string span.
It loads from the top/back, and requires only two mounting screws for installation.
The nut is a length of 2.85" and stands .575" tall(to string bottoms), and is 1/4" thick.
It has a hair under 3/8" string spacing, or roughly 2.5" total outer string span.
**If you prefer a 3" nut with true 3/8" spacing, please advise and allow a couple extra days to make, and I can accommodate such.
Milled manually from 6061 aluminum, with the bridge saddle being stainless steel. I've found stainless to have excellent sustain qualities, but worth noting is that the saddle is free-floating and can be swapped out with other 1/4" rod materials...brass, aluminum, wood, bone, copper, plastic?, cold steel, or a hollow tubular form of any of these, etc. The nut is made generically slotted from .058" up through .010" gauges, but if you'd like them seated for a specific set for your project, please advise upon purchase and I'm glad to accommodate setting them to your gauges.
Mounts via included stainless steel screws. I include an extra screw of both bridge and nut screws so that it may be used to initially set the threads into the body of your project -- this ensures the actual screw heads are nice and crisp for actual install. Comes in a natural brushed and burnished finish and can be polished out to a mirror shine should one aspire for a more chromed look. Ships within 24 hours via Small box USPS Priority.
Thank you for looking. I'll be posting some 6 and 7 string ones shortly, too.
There is a highly sped up video of how I make these in the 10 string listing. Cheers!
