F 7302 was also a Sambora owned guitar and is verified on the Kramer registry. Richie picked up a few new guitars in a batch when he visited Kramer.
Here we have a stunning custom green Kramer guitar, with gold hardware, which was made for and owned by Richie Sambora in the late 1980’s.
It was built for Richie Sambora by Chris “Lumpy” Hofschneider at the Kramer Factory in Neptune, New Jersey in 1987, in between Bon Jovi’s ‘Slippery When Wet’ tour in 1987 and the bands ‘New Jersey‘ tour in 1988.
The guitar was painted by Kramer’s George Felise, who sprayed guitars for the likes of Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard), Dave Sabo (Skid Row), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Ted Nugent, Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Paul Stanley (KISS), Frank Zappa and many, many more.......
This particular guitar was built by Chris “Lumpy” Hofschneider (who was also Richie’s guitar tech) and painted by George Felise at Kramer. Lumpy built the guitars...George painted them.
It’s a Kramer Pacer style body. Lumpy cut the body himself....
Lumpy also cut out a Mother of Pearl STAR and stuck it on the tip of the heasdstock (this can be seen on the headstock image).
George Felise at Kramer was approached by Richie Sambora in 1987, who asked him to "Make me something cool" and left it up to George.
The Kramer Pacer body was sprayed with Green Metallic RM Acrylic Lacquer (which as can be seen on the photographs has lifted and cracked over the years) that George Felise had left over from painting his friend's 1952 Ford Panel Truck in the early 1980’s.
George had saved a few quarts of Green because he loved the color so much....
He sprayed the guitar with champagne flip / flop flames and a matching green headstock with a Mother of Pearl STAR.
The guitar features stunning gold hardware, and comes in its original Kramer case. Custom inlay with Stars.
Truly a one off unique custom Kramer guitar made for and owned by legendary Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
