The item up for sale is USED "Tested Vintage McIntosh MA6100 Stereophonic Integrated Preamp Amplifier 70W/Channel".
The item is in Fair cosmetic and working condition.
- Upon inspection of the device, I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches on the body of the device that happen with normal use.
- The Panloc buttons are to release the device from the wooden case. The left Panloc button is tested to be working. The right Panloc button seems to work but the fastener on the back of the device is broken from the screw (see picture #7). The right side of the device is loose from the wooden case.
- There are noticeable scuffs and scratches on the top of the device.
- There are minor dents and dings in the wood finish.
- The glass display has been cracked in multiple places (see pictures #2-4).
- All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition but show signs of age.
The original power cord had been snipped off. - I was able to power on the device using an attached replacement power cord.
- Most of the original lights are functional. The right two light indicators are out. These are for Speakers Off for Main and Remote.
- I
was able to hook a speaker up to the device and use an audio source to
test the Tape 1, Tape 2, TapeHD, Tuner 1, Tuner 2, Phono 1, Phono 2 and
AUX audio inputs.
- I was able to pass audio through these inputs and hear it through the speaker using all speaker outputs (Main Speakers and Remote Speakers Left and Right).
- I was able to turn Speakers A and B on and off using the selector knob.
- I was able to switch between Tuner 1, Tuner 2, Tape HD, Phono 1, Phono 2 and AUX inputs with the Input Selector knob.
- The Mode Selector knob was tested to be working.
- I was able to hear audio from the headphone jack using all of the RCA inputs and a pair of in-house headphones.
- I was able to adjust the Bass, Treble, Volume and Balance/Comp of the audio with the on-board knobs.
- The Tape Mon 1,Tape Mon 2, T1-T2, T2-T1, Low Filter, High Filter, Phase, Main Off and Remote Off buttons were all tested to be working.
- The panel for labeling the buttons is missing.
- Product is in working condition.
