Les Paul's "Golden Era", a Junior made in 1959, is now in stock.
This is a great sounding vintage guitar.
The aniline dyed cherry is fading moderately, but the dark brown body, typical of Honduran mahogany at that time, has an overwhelming presence.
The ultra-thin lacquer and shallow, finely spread weather check give the guitar a vintage look that is clearly different from recent guitars.
The guitar is in good condition, with a loud raw sound and a fat sound output, and you can experience a sense of warriors that only vintage can provide.
The neck is a slightly thinner round shape, which is often seen on 59 Gibson guitars, and it is easy to play and fits any player's hands well.
The PU and assembly are original and solder virgin.
The pegs have been replaced with recent Kluson pegs.
The bar bridge and studs have been replaced with recent Custom Shop ones.
Re-fretted & re-nutted, PLEK adjusted.
The original pot is 250kΩ made by CentraLab in 58th 52nd week, so it must be early 59th year model.
