Wonderful Yamaha NS-1000 Speakers. Home Version

One pair Yamaha NS-1000 speakers.

These are the home models with lovely wood veneers and different grills.

Matching Left and Right serial numbers. Fully functional NS-1000 speakers with a few upgrades.
Crossovers have had the capacitors replaced with Dayton Audio films. I have the original caps if the new owner wants them. The midrange composite cap was left in place on both speakers. Input spring clips replaced with binding posts. A polyswitch tweeter protector has been installed. I can remove it for the new owners if desired.

Midrange and tweeter domes look great, shiny and clean. Woofers are in great shape. Note the home version did not have woofer grills like the Black M version. All drivers work as they should.

Considering their age the cabinets are in good to very good condition except for the bottoms. My guess is a previous owner drug them across a concrete floor, too bad. Good news you don't see the bottom in use unless you have really really tall stands. ;)   One cabinet has a piece of veneer missing at a top corner. Please see pictures for a better look and decide for yourself.

Grills are very good with original fabric and badges.

Visually except for the bottoms I would say 6-7.5 of 10.

These are crazy heavy, right at 100 pounds each. I will not ship these, too much risk of damage. Speakers located in NE Indiana.

The sound of these is really something special, feed them with good equipment and a good recording and they reward you with fantastic sound and uncanny imaging. Give them anything less and they will show all flaws in the chain. But that is not the speakers fault it is just ruthlessly telling the truth.

I can arrange for an audition/inspection for serious buyers only no tire kickers or I always wanted to hear these things. folks. It would  be on a Saturday or Sunday in NE Indiana.
