This is a perfectly working Lomo 19a18 long body.
This set comes with:
- 19a18 long body, SN690078
- 19a18 capsule, SN750009
- AEG PSU
- Original tube mic cable
The 19a18 microphone uses a center-terminated front-address M7 style large diaphragm capsule.
The tube is a 6S6B tube. (used in 19a4, 19a10, 19a13, 19a14)
Here is a copy/paste from a previous 19a18 that was sold.
It explains perfeclty the sound of the microphone and the capsule specificities:
Tonally, the 19a18 has a nicely defined midrange and beautiful top end sparkle without being harsh, making it a fine choice for acoustic stringed instruments, bringing out detail and articulation. It's also great as a drum overhead, kit mic, vocal mic, or room mic.
It is very hard to find an original 19a18 capsule in good working
order, as most of them start to oxidize around the screw in the center
and lose their low frequency extension while getting harsh in the
upper-mids. For this reason they often need to be reskinned to restore
their original intended sound."
This 19a18 capsule was re-skinned by Peter Drefahl last october.
The PSU, mic body and tube was checked by Peter Drefahl too.
The mic works perfectly and comes with two spare tubes.
