Folkcraft Instruments Partial KIT for Hourglass Dulcimer, mahogany fingerboard

(NOTE: There is a pair of mahogany sides titled Pair #16 SM Pair of Mahogany SIDES for Acoustic Guitar (and could work for the Hourglass Dulcimer Back Pieces) MINT also in my Reverb shop; and these pieces should be wide enough to make the BACK for this hourglass dulcimer part. kit.)
If you want to start a build, and haven't been sure where to start, a folk instrument like a dulcimer is often considered the best instrument on which to start.  Here's what you'll get in this partial kit for an Hourglass Dulcimer: 1. Full-scale Blueprint that includes details for both an Hourglass and Teardrop (shape) Dulcimer.  The blueprint shows in the background of the first photo. {Note: there is a piece of mandolin head stock scroll in the photo--it is not included with this kit.  It was used to help weight down the blueprint on the exceptionally windy day when I was photographing!)
2. Fingerboard 36-12"L, mahogany; fully shaped, initial sanding completed, notched for nut, bridge, and frets, has a channel cut into the back for added sound within the body cavity once built, and a fully shaped peg-box with holes drilled for 4 tuning pegs.  What looks like 4 holes from the view inside is actually 2 holes bored all the way through and 2 anchor pits for the tuners coming inside the box from the other side. 3. Set of 4 Dulcimer Tuner Pegs. 4. One Dulcimer (triangular) Pick. 5. One Slotted Nut and One Slotted Bridge, plastic, both are identical and can be used for 3, 4, or more strings if you want to double the top and 3rd strings for fuller sound. (One Nut/Bridge is shown; two are included.)
6. Two sets of 4-each new Dulcimer Strings.
7. One Spruce Noter (used to depress strings instead of using your fingertip). 8. Eight ct Copper String Anchors (a few extra in case one is lost or damaged during the build.)
9. Neck Block, mahogany, shaped and sanded. 10. Tail Block, mahogany, shaped and sanded.
The other parts you'll need to complete this instrument are two (preferably matching) top pieces, one back piece, two sides, and fret wire.  Those, plus your own brand of magic, and presto, a dulcimer!

NOTE #2 You probably don’t need to read this note, but just in case there's a question related to the following, here goes: EVERY partial kit is UNFINISHED and needs considerable work to fit the pieces and build an instrument. The items in this listing aren't jigsaw puzzle pieces that snap together to-presto-have a finished instrument as if it were a Lego kit.
