These are not original chips for Digidrums, but copies made from the original chips, which were made by Digi Drums, which then became Digidesign, and is now known as Avid Audio, the creators of Pro Tools but it does not make any difference sound-wise.

Extra note [Why are rock drums / rock kit so special?]
The snare on this kit was used by Tears for Fears in their hit “Shout” and rumors says, that the snare came from Led Zeppelin`s song “Levee Breaks”
