About This Listing

UPDATE: 19 November 2017, first four photos show our newest completed prototypes. Message with any questions.

I first met Dan Armstrong in his shop on West 48th Street, NYC in 1966 when he was modifying "Danelectros". I had the opportunity to see the first of the famous lucite guitars that would hit the street 3 years later under the Ampeg brand. Dan eventually moved to London where he started production of the "London" model 341. Last year I was able to purchase the last 58 of the "London" bodies and a few necks. Eric Clapton had one back in the day and David Bowie composed "Station to Station" on his. Here are our first four "prototypes" using  those last bodies that were locked away since the factory closed late in 1975. Ladies, Gentlemen and "Others"; may I introduce the "Dan Armstrong 50th Anniversary" Model. I have 8 more guitars presently on the bench, each being tweaked somewhat differently. There are two photos of Kent Armstrong putting some final touches on the electronics on "Serial #1 in his shop in Vermont (the last time he saw that guitar was 41 years ago in his father's shop in London) and "Serial #2 flame maple, #3 zebra wood" and Serial #4 with a metal top. Just off the bench are #'s 5 with a Mahogany top and 6 and 7 with AAA+ natural maple top
s. Last photo taken on September 2nd 2017 are of #'s 8, 9 and 10! Pickups are all custom Kent Armstrong, handmade in Vermont and the options are endless. . . Price listed is for your choice of any one (1) of the several guitars pictured.
