This is Will Calhoun’s personal Sonor artist series snare drum. It’s a massive 27 ply - 28mm thick, 45 degree bearing edge beechwood shell, offering an amazing crack with deep full tones. The drum varies in character according to your tuning options. This drum is great for studio sessions, Rock, Funk, Fusion, World, and Electronic Music. Will used it with his Jungle Funk project in the 90’s. The Earth tone finish with gold colored hardware adds a stunning and very unique look to the drum. One of the bottom tuning lugs cracked off in transit. It doesn’t affect the sound of the drum. I have a photo of this lug in the photo section below.
