This Collings D2H Baaa A V, Serial #7018, was completed on 11/12/2001, and is signed by Bill Collings, though I am informed that he did not actually build this one.

It has only been played in concert settings a few times, was mainly used in my studio, and has been kept in excellent condition. I am the original owner.

Since the original listing of this guitar nearly a year ago, I was made aware of a flaw in the finish that I hadn't noticed, as it was kept in storage for a number of years. The lacquer appeared to be separating from the wood on the back of the neck and headstock, so I ended the listing. I contacted the folks at Collings and they said that they had tried a different finish back in that era and several of those instruments had come back for repair. I sent them the guitar for evaluation, and they stripped the entire guitar and refinished it under warranty. The end result is a guitar that is "Like New" in appearance... not a scratch. The only telltale signs of its age are a bit of tarnishing on the tuners and some gentle brushstrokes on the pickguard.

Other than the beautiful new finish, it plays like a dream, sounds incredible, and as Brazilian Rosewood becomes more and more scarce, the investment value will only increase.

As for the Adirondack Spruce Top,  "No other guitar top tonewood has the history, the ambition, or the sheer power, sustain and dynamic range of Adirondack spruce. " ... and it gets better and better with age.
