Accuphase DP-81: A phenomenal CD player and DAC combo for digital audiophiles!
The Accuphase DC-81, released in 1986 during the “Golden Era” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment, is an audiophile-targeting high-fidelity DAC featuring Accuphase's proprietary high-performance technology. It was designed to be paired with the Accuphase DP. -80 CD player. The DAC is a current addition type which can achieve the 16-bit theoretical limit by discrete configuration. The digital filters are L / R independent and 2x oversampling, with 121st-order composition. The low-pass filter is a discrete GIC-type 9th-order Butterworth active filter. In this unit, each bit signal of the digital filter output is appropriately transmitted (by a total of 34 transmitters, 7Mbit / sec) in the L & R channels and converted into an electric signal for the D / A conversion. As a result,There is complete electrical separation which eliminates noise and interference via conductors. The DC-81 features XLR balanced outs as well as two RCA outs (fixed and variable). It's the perfect match for the DP-80!
This unit are in very good condition, with minor signs of use and aging, including some scratches, coloring and front face has a small crack (please see photos). This unit work perfectly and have been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming their flawless operation. The sound quality is superb, as expected.
