About This Listing

This is a very rare, a pre-lawsuit model made in Japan in the early 70's, ( probably Matsumoku factory or Fuji Gen Gakki factory). I think it's mostly original except for one pickup (changed by previous owner). One pickup is stamped "Super 70" on back. Looks like one pickup cover is changed but it sounds beautiful. All electronics work perfectly. The body has some dings and chips as it is nearly 50 years old. Please see all photos. This guitar was made before they had to stop making them with headstocks identical to Gibson. They are known to outplay there Gibson counterparts and these days they are almost impossible to find. It has been a part of my collection for years but times are tough and I need to sell it. In my opinion, it's a very special guitar that plays and sounds amazing, easily the best SG I've ever played. New soft case included. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks.
