Thank you for your interest in my bass. Here for your consideration is an Alembic Excel made in 1998. It features an ash body with a flame maple top. Other than some fretwear (95% still there), the bass is very clean.
This bass shows signs that it was physically modified at one point. The 2-piece bridge was removed and replaced. I don't know what it was, but holes were drilled into the wood.
The footprint of the aftermarket bridge left discrete marks in the wood reminiscent of a music man bass. I believe it might have been a piezo bridge. These marks can only be seen if one actually looks for them. The five additional holes were professionally filled when the bass was restored to original are more visible. The only remaining modification is the addition of a SHC-SB3 preamp. Please see the pictures and the video of the bass at the end. Includes hardshell case.
