Here's the history on this bass, please take a moment and read:

This is a passive 1996 Hamer USA Unlined Fretless Cruise Bass which I purchased used in 2006, in the same cosmetic condition as you see it in my pics. It previously belonged to one- original owner and by it's looks, it was extensively gigged with. It is a solid, well built bass and this version is lighter than its twin model equiped with the 2tech bridge

At some point, the original owner switched the Gotoh bridge it came with from factory, with a Schaller bridge. But, later in 2006 and with help from a Hamer guitars rep., I was able to restore it back with the proper Gotoh bridge model (although exactly like the original, it's not stamped with the Hamer logo. It simply reads: "Gotoh"). This bridge is fully adjustable with options to string thru body, or string thru bridge, and currently installed on the body.

Electronics:
In 2007 the original bridge pick-up and both: volume and tone potentiometers began to malfunction. I replaced both pickups with a set of Dimarzio USA DP-149 passive J neck & bridge pickups (a drop fit installation) AND added a Stellartone ToneStyler Bass Six (B-6) 6 position vari-tone switch system (USA made), which allows for improved overall bass/treble tone control. The controls: from left to right: Volume/Blend/6 position varitone.

Blemishes:
Cosmetically, it shows a good deal of dings & dents, scuffs & scratches of various sizes, which can be felt to the touch and found all the way from the head stock, leading down thru the back of the neck, and finally reaching around sections of the: front, back & edges of the body- some visible in these pics and too many to list.

Finish wear:
Although Hamer gave their instruments pretty long lasting finishes, there is what almost looks like "finger smudges" right beneath the clear finish coating, on a few small areas (see pic for bottom edge of body top, @ right side of the bridge and small area mid bout bottom side edge).

On the back side, midway to the upper horn and above the neck- bolts area there's a "ripple" like wear effect on the finish. There's also some buckle rash as well, plus a few minor finish scrapes near the output jack.

Again, note that all of these blemishes I've mentioned were already there when I acquired this bass.

Hardware:
All 4 factory Schaller M4 tuners are original to the bass and in excellent working condition and so are the chrome control knobs. The neck is straight with no Truss Rod issues, and it turns fine both ways.

This one was frequently played from 2008 until 2017 while I was touring with the band: House of Floyd and it was safely kept in an ATA heavy duty road case. I've always given it much care and it's been well maintained during all these years I've owned it.

It may not be in the best pristine cosmetic condition. But, IMHO, it's a great "j" type bass in excellent working condition, comfortable, fast playing and sounds great. Sad to see it go as It has served me well for a long time.
