Selling my beautifully crafted, naturally relic'd, 1973 Marshall 1960 "A" Cab. This speaker cabinet has been in my personal collection for almost a decade, and since day one, it has consistently proved itself to be my #1 sound wave producer year-after-year. I've had AV cabs, Orange cabs, Emperor, and more; if I may put it bluntly: they're all useless compared to this one. The construction is time-tested. The tonewoods in this cab have set-in perfectly. The acoustics on this thing are dimension-shifting. And it's got a beautiful relic'd finish and a natural patina. The way the cab looks is exactly how it looked when I received it. The wood, handles, metal plates on the bottom are 100%. The checkerboard cloth has visible tears and stains, which is how it was when I bought it. I never changed it out because I liked it.

Buying older gear like this can be iffy, especially with visible signs of use. The good thing here for you (the buyer) is that I've owned this cab for almost a decade, and I know the history of this cab going back to the late 1990s (previous owner's possession). As a buyer of this kind of gear for many years, knowing something like this is a huge confidence booster, as a opposed to buying from a "vintage gear" store, where you have a 30 day warranty and you're SOL if something craps out after 2 months. This is priced higher than a few other Chicago-local places, but that's because it's not just a point of sale in a store, where no one knows the history of it, and it's been ragged on by everybody who works there, and then put up for sale (ask me how I know this happens). It's been lovingly maintained and cared for by me and only me.

The cab is loaded with WGS British Invasions wired for 16 Ohms mono. I picked them out after obsessive research on a good replacement pair for the greybacks that were worn out. If you want the original Rola Celestion greyback speakers with this cab, message me and we can work something out.
