About This Listing

"This is the 4th New Yorker that John D'Angelico built. I bought the guitar from a professor at Oxford University in England. It is 100% original, an absolutely gorgeous guitar and the only D’Angelico I have that still has its original pickguard (most of the pickguards disintegrate; this one somehow is still perfect). Spruce top with a stunning maple back and sides, maple neck, ebony fingerboard. A seven-piece binding adorns the edges of the guitar. The beautiful tailpiece is made of two different gold finishes: anodized, and shiny. A photo of this guitar appears on the back jacket cover of the book Acquired of the Angels, Third Edition, by Paul Schmidt." ~Rudy Pensa
