Barcus Berry 2522 Pickup Version 2

Rare as hen's teeth. A hard to find 2522, model 2. New old stock. We’ve tried, tested and reviewed every similar pickup made. These are by far our favored acoustic pickup. Very hard to come by; although I programmed a continual search, they rarely come up. We only seen a few of this particular model in the last 10 years. Since they are so favored, no longer made and hard to find, it's priced accordingly. This one is wired with a standard audio socket and a cord that adapts to a 1/4" jack. The audio socket is handy for directly fitting most guitar mounted pre-amps. Or you can use the adapter cord to plug directly into an amp. Versatility.
Andi Lechner wrote a bit about the 2522 models. I tried pasting a link here, but programming rejected it. So...You'll have to do an online search for yourself.

Frank Zappa had Barcus Berry Hi-Tek pickups fitted to his Gibson ES5 Switchmaster and his Fender XII 12-string guitars. In '73 Zappa also fitted Barcus-Berry pickups to Ruth Underwood's marimba & Ralph Humphrey's drums. There are photos of these online.
