Description This an awesome preamp, it really shines on acoustic instruments, drums, and electric guitar. I've had great results on vocals too and since it can take line level signals, it's very useful on the two bus as well. Given the dual gain stages, three transformers and dual op amps, the possibilities for adding color and saturation are limitless.
The high pass filter design is identical to the API big consoles and feature three filter points and switchable slope.
Don't let the low price fool you, this preamp is listed at number 19 in 500 series pres for a good reason. Many people feel that it's head and shoulders above API mic pre offerings.
