About This Listing

I’m a guitar collector. This guitar was bought for a special reason and is in Very Good condition, with only a few minor scratches which is shown in the photos. It was played only a few times and will present like new. I was playing crooner type music at the time and thought it would sound authentic, and it did.

It was purchase at a Julien’s Auction of Music Icons in 2013.  See label below. It is clean, smooth and has a great mellow sound.

The luthier is a master builder named Jim Triggs. Once hired by Gibson to work in their custom shop. He opened his own shop in 1990 building custom guitars for the who’s who of the music industry. Check out his site:

This guitar was built in 1997 in Kansas City. The Serial number is JL51492. It’s made up of:
  • Top: Spruce
  • Sides: Mahogany
  • Back: Maple
  • Fingerboard/bridge: Ebony
  • Abalone inlays
  • Bigsby tremelo
  • Imperial Grover tuners

The guitar is signed by the builder Jim Triggs 1997
