About This Listing

This is a vintage 1966 Fender Jazzmaster with a Sunburst finish. Made and stamped in March of '66, this Jazzmaster is a unique transitional build, featuring both pre and post CBS qualities. It has a bound neck with pearl dot inlays instead of blocks, nickel tuners, and a CBS headstock logo. It has a nitrocellulose finish on both its body and neck, and the back of its birdseye Maple neck has been worn down to a satin finish that feels incredible to play.

This JM has a great vibe with natural wear that looks awesome. There is a small binding patch on the treble side of the neck at the 3rd fret. Also, as the story goes, the owner of this guitar had an older brother, who, in classic older-brother-fashion, shot steel BB's at his guitar - one of which is still lodged in the body behind the bridge!

It is all original, feels fantastic, and sounds so, so good.

It has been professionally setup and comes with a hardshell case.
