2020 Darren Hippner Humphries Millenium Style Brazilian Rosewood Concert Classical Guitar

Here is an excellent condition, 2020 Darren Hippner Helion Concert Classical Guitar.

This is a high level concert classical guitar. It was hand-built by Darren Hippner in his Point Roberts, Washington workshop.

The Helion is a special model of Darren's creation combining design elements of legendary concert classical guitars and his own innovations.

The most notable feature of the Helion is the raised fretboard which allows easier upper register fret access. The slight radius on the fretboard makes certain chord shapes easier to play, especially closer to the head stock.

This particular guitar was built with Darren's unique Star Burst bracing pattern for the top. There are cedar linings along the sides, to increase note clarity. There are also port holes for better listening by the guitarist.

This hand crafted guitar was built using solid Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, a Cedar neck and a Cedar top. The outer binding and head stock front and back cap are made using Brazilian rosewood. The guitar has a beautiful Hippner signature rosette.

There were a couple of short hairline cracks in the back of this guitar that have been professionally repaired. The guitar is strong and stable while retaining its resonance.

Scale length on this guitar is 650 millimeters. Nut width is 52 millimeters. The radiused ebony fretboard and frets are in excellent condition. They have just been polished. Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3.5 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 2.6 millimeters.

This guitar is equipped with top quality Gotoh tuning keys. They are smooth and hold tune well.

The label designates this as a Helion Star Burst bracing model.

The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition hard shell case.
