1997 Benedetto Manhattan, Serial No. 40397, Bob’s 403rd guitar. Built in East Stroudsburg, PA. Guitar is listed in his build log - see pic. Body dimensions are 17" x 3", nut width is 1.75", scale length is 25", X-braced carved American spruce top, carved maple back and sides. Ebony fingerboard, bridge, pick guard, tailpiece and tuner buttons.
Excellent condition with barely any signs of play. Some items to note: there is a bit of crazing at the nut where the fingerboard binding joins the neck - see pic. It was present when I bought the guitar. There are also a few very small cracks in the binding on the back of the body, which was also present when I received the guitar - see pics. Finally, where the neck joins the body the lacquer is chipped...again, see pic. These areas are stable and in 8 years have not gotten worse; believe me, I look every time I play/check on the guitar. It has lived in a climate controlled studio in it's original (heavy) Benedetto case inside a safe. It left once to travel to Benedetto Guitars in Savannah to be checked over and set up by Damon Mailand. He said it is in amazing condition. Needless to say, it plays fantastic and sounds even better.
