See pics and ask questions. This guitar will not disappoint. With 80 years of experience she has that wonderful vibrancy that comes alive in your hands with a long aged Martin.
Excellent and Comfortable Low Action and Playability. Straight neck. New period correct Grover Deluxe tuners. All is great structurally and otherwise after a couple crack repairs. Cracks, bumps, donks & doinks, minor scratches, etc commensurate with a well cared for Martin that's 80 years old. IOW...She's a beautiful thing that was pretty darn well cared for.
Pure and pretty with that unique and addicting Sound & Feel of an early 1940's Pre-War Martin. Both Volume and Tone are wonderfully outstanding and are such a pleasure to play. And it's no wonder... given that Martin's tone woods are aged for 50 yrs in those days. She's VERY Lively. The neck is straight and the angle is still ok. She has great low action as pictured and rings bright and true all around. There's a small amount of saddle remaining for future adjustment per pics.
I love the cool finish on this baby. The bookmatched Mahogany is absolutely stunning, with just a hint of deep red in the aged chocolate finish. The back and sides are nicely bookmatched with wonderfully figured grain. This old girl is just oozing with mojo and emanates pure soul. You can't replace the real thing, and this is the real thing. Built during the golden years of Martin's guitar making.
Intimate back porch blues is a joy, but this is a good solid Martin that's ready to gig if that's your thing. Serial number 86290 stamped on neck block along with model number 0-17.
