Up for sale is this vintage 1950's Silvertone archtop acoustic guitar. This guitar is COOL! This was one of the high-end models and features single-line individual Kluson tuners and the cool tortoise celluloid veneer headstock.
This guitar shows heavy wear (it OOZES vintage vibe!) and sounds great. There is one unrepaired top crack that will need to be addressed, but the top is not sinking at all. The action is medium and the bridge is all the way down, but it feels pretty good on the first few frets. It would be good for cowboy chords or it would make a KILLER instrument for slide.
The end pin is missing and the neck is pulling a bit. Someone has added a screw through the neck heel at some point to stabilize it. The neck has some relief in it, as they all do, but it isn't too bad. No notes fret out anywhere on the neck.
No case or gig bag is included, but it will be packed well for safe shipping.
