***ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED*** TogaMan Thinline Acoustic GuitarViol Designed and hand-built by Jonathan Wilson (a boutique microbuild luthier) in California, this modern arpeggione was developed out of a genuine need for as good as it gets acoustic sound! If you want one of these, you usually have to wait between months and years in Jonathan's backlog--buy mine instead! I ship within 24 hours.
This is tuned to E standard. It has a (modified) LR Baggs Lyric/EMG outboard power pickup system installed (no playing ship in the bottle to change battery). This system is great for live sound support as well as a great secondary mic to add to mix in the studio!] Excellent for: A most rewarding and compelling acoustic string playing experience that blends well with other traditional instruments. Heard in Game of Thrones (HBO), Making a Murderer (Netflix), City on a Hill (Showtime), The Bundy Tapes (Netflix), The Kaminski Method (Netflix) and many more!
This GuitarViol is one-of-a-kind in that it has the TogaMan branding decal on the headstock (which is the discontinued classical guitar / snail box headstock style). Otherwise, it is a thinline acoustic in a spartan natural finish, suitable for playing standing or seated (when the magnetic leg peg is put in place). It comes with a single straplok and a customized strap that locks into the rear and securely loops around the neck heel on the other end. Has planet waves trimming / locking tuners, and comes with original carbon fiber Incredibow and Kaplan dark rosin. It still has its original D'addario Helicores ($150 cello string set) on it, was not played enough to need to replace them.
Mine also comes in a modified (with rough-cut foam inserts) 1/4 scale fiberglass cello hardcase, which has protected the instrument on international flights and through a couple moves (it’s a bit scraped up on the outsidd). That said, there are a couple pictured dings and the top has been cracked--but as I was moving to mexico the next day, I had to fix it myself with wood glue. Otherwise the instrument is in excellent condition, the repair has been stable for two years, and it does not seem to affect sound or tuning stability.
With the hard case and the optional L.R. Baggs lyric pickup system, this set would cost you over $5,500 new--score a deal and buy mine today! These don't come up for resale very often.
