About This Listing

When "Power Ballads," slower love songs played loudly, starting to become popular in the mid 80's Kramer danced with the notion of creating an acoustic guitar with an electric feel. Teaming up with Danny Ferrington, a renowed luthier living in Nashville who'd built guitars for several stars with unusual and asymetrical shapes. Ferrington designed the KFS-1 and KFT-1 making their debut in 1986 which were Korean made; in 1988 Kramer introduced signature models that Ferrington either made himself or they were made under his supervision in the U.S. in 1990 Kramer imploded and Ferrington marketed the KFS-1 and KFT-2 after moving to Los Angeles but the guitars quickly died off, now these Kramer Ferrington Acoustic Electric guitars are rare find. Some notable Kramer players include Peter Frampton, Gene Simmons, Billy Squier, Joan Jett, Ted Nugent, and Joe Perry, just to name a few on a big list.
