Nicholas P. Ioannou was a Greek American Luthier who built guitars here in New York City along with Papazian, Velazquez, Del Pilar and others during the heyday of the New York City guitar building scene. This guitar features a German spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Nicholas went to the United Kingdom to personally buy a large Brazillian rosewood table at an auction to build guitars with. This is one of those guitars.
Traditionally Spanish style construction with 9 asymmetrical fan braces and an angled double middle bar not too unlike a Fleta. This is a big bodied guitar with a very comfortable neck. 650mm scale length, 52mm hut.
Has some nail marks on the top and one dent that isn't through the wood. No cracks. Tuners are Rubner "Landstorfer / Hauser" style, bare brass with ebony buttons. Action is medium with plenty of room to lower if desired. Very easy playing guitar and quite powerful.
