This is a really nice bass made by Nashville Luthier Gary Yerby. It is a
semi-hollowbody, with a neck-thru design. Gary told me that part of the
block that forms the neck is also partly hollowed out. It is beautiful
with layered pieces of maple and mahogany. The fret board is maple and
rosewood with wooden dots. It has a Duncan Quarter Pound P pickup and
vol/tone controls. Weighs a lightweight 7.8 lbs. The sound is very sweet
- as you'd expect, it sounds like a hollowbody Precision. It can get
punchy P-tones, and smooth, Lee Sklar-type sounds. It currently has
roundwounds on it, but I've had flats on it as well, and they also sound
great. It's even sounding, balanced and comfortable to play. Something
like this would cost a lot more from a well-known maker, but it's
really a very nice and well-made instrument. In very good condition, a
few little scratches. Will ship with a gig bag and will be packed well.
