Luxman PD300:
A fantastic "Golden Era" turntable with an awesome design!

The Luxman PD-300, released in Japan in 1980 during the Japanese "Golden Era" of high-fidelity audio equipment, is a 3-speed belt-drive manual turntable, driven by a brushless, slotless DC servo motor. The motor is placed away from the cartridge track and operated at a speed of 10x the platter rotational speed, to avoid the influence of vibration in the audio signal. With the die-cast aluminum platter, the rotation is smooth, quiet, and with a high inertial mass. This is in contrast to some direct-drive systems. This turntable features an advanced disk stabilization system based on creating vacuum between the LP and the platter, which can reduce vibrational noise. The sound of the PD-300 is well regarded by critics in Japan, though this wonderful turntable is not easy to find outside Japan. Besides the excellent build quality and playback performance of this turntable, the aesthetic is fantastic, with a sleek, high-end appearance. The Luxman brand is synonymous with quality in the world of audio equipment, and this turntable doesn't disappoint.

This particular unit is in excellent condition, with some minor signs of age and wear throughout, including a few minor scratches and scuffs (please see photos). Does not include the motor belt. This turntable has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation.
