This is a classic Egyptian style darbuka made of cast metal. I purchased it a few years ago from The Old Town School of Folk Music here in Chicago but these are the same ones distributed by Mid-East music, possibly made by Gawharet el Fan.

It has six allen head tuning bolts to adjust pitch or swap out the 8.75" head. I put in a Remo Skyndeep fish skin graphic head for a drier more "woody" sound. These are great if you're looking for something that approximates fish skin without all the tuning issues.

There are a few dings on the body and rim but these are purely cosmetic. The tuning bolts work well with no stripping.

These things are built like a tank and they're loud as hell which is why I don't need two of them in my apartment!

Comes with a carrying case, allen tuning key, and the original Remo Fiberskyn Diplomat head.

Please contact with any questions or for more pics.

Thanks for looking!
