Incredible 1967 Ramirez 1A Classical Guitar (CLL initials) with cedar top, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, owned by the legendary Bola Sete.

The guitar has numerous battle scars, 3 back cracks that seem to have been repaired and one top crack repaired as well. This is not a guitar that looks pretty; it was a concert guitar that travelled the world for decades. The first couple of frets have been worn by thousands of playing hours but it does not affect playability or intonation.

However, if you are willing to put up with the higher action and the 64 mm scale, and are willing to overlook the aesthetic presentation, the instrument is phenomenal in terms of sound. It is lively, the tone is dark and poetic. Action is high with these old Ramirez guitars but if one can handle them, these old Ramirez guitars cannot be beaten, in my opinion.

Cheers!
