Purchased from a collector. There is one finish check on the triangangular peice of the inlay which was caused by polishing the top and somehow the microfiber towel caught below the finish, resorted to touching it up with gold sharpie and it worked quite well. A chip on the side of body which was there when purchased. Guitar is made of Brazillian Jaracanda rosewood laminate, mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, 70s Grover patent pending tuners, jacaranda bridge and pins. Action at the 12th fret is 4mm on the bass side and 3mm on the treble. It will need some experienced set up work to lower the action, for the saddle is low currently. It's great for cowboy chords or capo for singing, the tone is very well balanced, lush, silky and warm. Pretty overtones are definitely present. The neck is straight and hand carved being on the chunky side. I should mention too that the wood grain on this is the best out of all the other listings on the web. If you are unfamiliar with K Yairi, I suggest to search their factory tour video. Guitar is signed by the Master Luthier Kazuo Yairi, one collector believes it was made by him on a limited run in 1977.. RIP.
