This guitar sold new for upwards of $2,000 in 1993-1994 without a hard case, and the new “telecoustic” Fender remake guitars are not nearly as cool as this vintage, collectible guitar!!

This example stands out because it is super rare, 100% original, vintage, collectible, complete, and therefore is priced accordingly :)

Here is an extremely rare (did I already say rare?) and 100% original made in Japan Fender TLAC100 Electric Acoustic Guitar. It has all natural relic wear and cool checking on the beautiful gloss three tone sunburst finish, alongside top cream binding, Spruce top, Mahogany back, with semi-hollow thinline F-hole. The Heartfield active circuit board electronics are powered by 9V volt battery and feature a master volume, active Piezo TBX, and balance pan / blender control, with the original dual made in USA pickups. This authentic acoustic tone translates well through the Piezo Sensor Under Saddle model / Mike Christian style bridge pickup and Burton Silver Lace Sensor neck pickup. This fantastic combo allows for a wide range of tones and can achieve both electric and acoustic sounds from a single guitar. It has a sound all of it's own with the Mike Christensen Piezo under saddle bridge pickup which can be blended in (or out) with the Lace sensor, and also with it being semi hollow it really sounds great plugged in or acoustic. It plays great with no issues.

These models are extremely rare and were made for only a couple years in the mid 90s, and were only made at the Fender FujiGen plant in Japan.

These telecoustics sound best with acoustic light gauge strings, and this one is set up with a brand new set of Martin extra lights (regular light gauge electric guitar nickel wound strings are also included). These are very fine, very versatile Fender guitars that really sing and provide both electric and acoustic tones. It is a truly exceptional and one of a kind genuine Fender guitar with solid Indian rosewood string-through body acoustic bridge. To top it off, it weighs only 6.4 lb (your back will thank you). Despite its light weight, it still packs a very resonant tone with lots of sustain.

Specs:

25 1/8” scale length, 22 medium frets (.105” thick), classic Maple oval shape profile with .82” at 1st fret and .913” at the 12th fret thickness, 42.5mm original nut width (about 1 11/16”), 9.5” radius, and original fully functional G.Gotoh tuners.

It has lacquer checking and finish wear that adds to the relic vibe and vintage mojo. This is truly a masterpiece of a guitar, with awesome finish checking.
