About This Listing
For sale is a vintage Epiphone Crestwood Custom in original Cherry Finish from 1965. It is in good condition and weighs 5.8 lbs.
The guitar shows honest cosmetic wear and tear consistent with age. There is checking throughout the entire guitar that can be seen in direct light. There is significant buckle rash on the back of the body. The previous owner used nail polish to mark the 17th/19th frets on the necks binding (view the last photo). The neck has been reset and the guitar plays with ease. Additionally, it has been refretted at one point. The frets are currently in good shape. The original tuners are present and are fully functional. The wooden tailpiece is unfortunately missing the Epiphone logo and I do not have the tremolo arm. The electronics look to be original and are completely fully functional. Both Mini-Humbuckers are strong and sound absolutely phenomenal. This example is without a doubt one of the best playing vintage guitars I’ve had in recent years.
A period correct polka-dot Gretsch case will be included with the sale. The previous owner equipped the top interior of the case with foam to fit around the features of the guitar. 5/5 latches are functional. Feel free to ask any questions.
