YAMAHA MDF-1 The MDF1 Midi Data Filer from Yamaha, is a 2.8" quick disk drive for storing system exclusive data from midi devices. Features include 7 segment LED, midi in / out / thru, disk memory indicator, delete & copy functions, backup utilities, and disk capacity of 64K per side. Examples of the amount of disk storage per side would be 14 sets of sounds for DX7/21/100/TX7, 7 sets of patterns & songs for the RX11/21/21L drum machines, 1 full QX21 sequence, or QX5 memory can be saved on both sides of a single diskette. The MDF1 will work with other devices that can transmit or receive midi dump.
