About This Listing

Ana Espinosa is quite possibly the best female luthier on the planet, and you will agree with me once you play this guitar! This is a very early example of her work from 1999, so the Wood has aged more than two decades already which adds to the sweet tone and projection of this guitar! The guitar features the warm sound, amazing sustain and easy playability that made her famous. See more about the luthier below.

The guitar is in excellent condition with some very light nail marks and other signs of use around the sides back and edges but no cracks, damage, structural issues or major flaws of any kind. I have tried to capture the few cosmetic issues in the pictures. The back of the neck has some light indentations from a capo which I could barely capture in a picture. A new one of these from Ana’s workshop will cost you 50% more than my asking price, you will need to get on her waiting list... and then play it for more than 20 years to get close to this one. Don’t put yourself through that, buy this one instead! Ships in a nice hard case. Case is in great condition with a few marks here and there.

About the builder:
Ana Maria Espinosa Rodríguez began to build guitars in 1996 together with René Baarslag. Initially, she took an Antonio de Torres model as a reference, and her analysis of this model on a physical and acoustic level allowed her to develop a new guitar model which combined the results of her research and the broad experience of master René.

Her concert model meets the quality and elegance standards always present in her artisan work, and also offers power and sound projection to enhance the colour and richness of notes, without demanding great effort from the guitarist, relaxing and easing the performance.
