About This Listing

For almost 110 years, Ludwig have been a world leader in the manufacture of drums and percussion products, becoming a household name in on Feb 9th, 1964 when 73 million people watched the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show, with the Ludwig logo clearly visible of the front of Ringo Starr's bass drum. The company's sales skyrocketed as a result, and for the next 20 years, Ludwig became the biggest name in drums in the USA. Their commitment to the highest quality standards is evident in everything they make.To mark their impending 110th Anniversary, this Ludwig Heirloom snare is a limited edition, available for 2019 only. A makeover of the Heirloom Black Brass snare drum, this forward-thinking snare has contemporary features and appointments you'd not normally find in the Heirloom series. An intensely musical, laser-etched banded brass shell sports a stunning brushed black finish and brass Flat Imperial lugs. Beefy die-cast hoops give the Heirloom Black Brass a focused tone and massive output to match its supreme looks and a modern brass system (P88 throw off + P35 butt plate) completes the package. Being a limited edition anniversary model, the Heirloom Black Brass snare sports a 110th anniversary Keystone badge and comes with a commemorative carry bag.
