Greetings,

Back in 2007 Fender and Roland created a GC-1 GK-Ready Midi Strat that controlled the Roland Guitar Synth. The Roland Ready Stratocaster was a made-in-Mexico standard set up with a Roland GK-2A  pickup installed just in front of the bridge. I’ve had a lot of fun with this rig over the years, but just don’t get to use it anymore – time to pass it on to someone who will love it as much as I did.

With the GC-1 Strat, all the necessary electronics are discreetly hidden inside a very nice Mexican Stratocaster, which has its own original single-coil pickups in bridge and middle positions, as well as a Roland GK pickup. The benefit of this approach is that you can always switch back to using the guitar as a regular Strat when not using the synth— you'll never be left unable to get a sound out of your guitar.

 Modifications:

I was not a fan of the stock neck on this guitar, so I bought a Fender neck that was a little thicker and more vintage. I am including the original neck in the event that you want to switch back. I also loved the bridge and middle pickups but wanted more from the neck pickup – I had that replaced with a Duncan stack. I don’t recall exactly which one it is, but it sounds phenomenal!

The Roland GR-33 is a floor-based guitar synth featuring an upgraded sound engine, new effects, improved tracking speed and a streamlined user interface with built-in expression pedal. With a sound architecture equivalent to Roland's acclaimed JV-1080 synthesizer module, this GK-Ready synth is capable of producing some of the richest, most interesting sounds and synth effects in the history of guitar.

I am also including 2 more Roland GK-3 Divided Guitar Pickups that you can wire to any other electric guitars, so they too will work with theGr-33. Transform your guitars into Synth Controllers! With the GK-3, you can transform nearly any axe into a synth controller to operate practically any synthesizer or MIDI-enabled device while offering you the ability to mix synth audio streams with your guitar's clean signal. Non-Destructive Mounting of the GK-3: comes with a mounting kit which offers all the tools required to mount the pickup and controller directly to the body of any guitar -- no screws required -- without damaging your instrument.

So, you get this gorgeous strat with the awesome Seymour Duncan Neck pickup, the extra strat neck, the original Fender/Roland soft case, the Roland GR-33 synthesizer with silver carrying case, a/c power adapter and extra ¼” cable, and 2 Roland GK-3 divided guitar pickups – all in excellent condition! Will ship in 2 separate boxes

Check out video demonstration of some of the cool sounds you’ll get out of this synth.
