J CUSTOM:
The J Custom is the Japan Custom series and that is the flagship model of Ibanez. Which has been crafted particular about the detail of sound and playability by skilled craftsman, with used carefully selected materials. The J Custom series is most exclusive and high quality models that is clearly different from other. It is very popular not only in Japan but all over the world.

IKEBE 45TH ANNIV. MODEL RG8520SLTD-NTF
The RG8520SLTD-NTF is based on the RG8520 with HH pickup layout without a pickguard. That was ordered to have a special finish suitable for our 45 year anniversary.

BODY:
The basic body material of the J Custom series is "flame maple for the top / mahogany for the back", but we have selected Burl Sapele material for the top, which has a characteristics of the exotic wood. Burl Sapele wood is a tree of the same family as mahogany, has a similar grains, and provide the rich midrange sound. Among them, which has a beautiful grains is highly rare. It is used for high-end guitars and luxury furniture. For the back of the body, we adopted ash material with a comfortable midrange sound. In both humbucker mode and single coil mode, you can get sounds with attack from distortion sound to clean sound. In addition, the strength of adhesion has been improved by inserting walnut material between the top and back material of the body. And this makes a beautiful appearance of a forearm contour part.

NECK:
The neck uses the Super Wizard shape. It is a 5-piece structure that combines maple and wenge material, which is very thin but strong and stable.

FINGERBOARD:
Kalimantan Ebony material is selected for the fingerboard. This Kalimantan Ebony is a wood originating from Kalimantan Island, Indonesia, and has a richer color and grain than other black ebony wood. It may also be used as a side / back material for acoustic guitars.

FRET WIRE:
The frets are EVO Gold Frets made by JESCAR, an alloy of copper, tin, iron and titanium. It’s color is gold, which is different from regular frets, has hard and a brighter sound than nickel silver frets. The edges of the frets are spherically processed, which is a feature of J Custom. Therefore, you can perform comfortable fingering without the frets hitting your fingers.

POSITION MARK:
The side position marks uses a phosphorescent material that glows in dark places.

PICKUP:
The pickups are installed DiMarzio's Fusion Edge, that is different from the regular lineup RG8520. Which is exclusively for Ibanez guitars has a rich treble characteristic like a single coil, it is a modern and progressive sound suitable for modern metal music.
