Vintage 1935 Gretsch Model 35 American Orchestra arch top hollow body acoustic

For your consideration is a 1935 Gretsch Model 35 archtop guitar. This one seems to be remarkably unique, we've never seen one quite like this. 

Headstock has a few nicks and dings, but that would be expected from a 70 year old instrument. Fretboard looks tremendous...which is really saying something about the overall condition. The frets look a little too clean, which leads us to believe this may have been re-fretted at some point. However, the work is remarkably professional and insanely clean. Doesn't appear to have a neck reset, and definitely does not need one. Body has plenty of finish checking, and a few slight cracks that appear to have been very solidly repaired. Biggest repair seems to be the gluing of a slight separation on the top of the guitar, where the two pieces of wood for the top meet. Very solid, but noticeable.

Guitar plays remarkably well, sounds rather mellow.
