Engineered and manufactured by Apogee Sound Incorporated, the world leader in processor-based concert loudspeaker systems, the Artist 4200 derives its heritage from a company whose products have been selected for hundreds of world class events, including four consecutive years of Grammy Awards.
The 4200 and 4200T, with their attendant P-4200 processors, provide a wide range response (55Hz - 18kHz) with enough power for large events, but are readily portable for ease of transport. Their moderate size facilitates use in tight spaces, such as nightclub stages or low ceiling dance floors. Adding the optional 5000 Series subwoofer greatly extends the low frequency response while increasing the power output capability for outdoor work and larger venues.
Both versions consist of a high power 12" (300mm) cone driver employing "linear-drive" technology and a 1" (25 mm) throat proprietary compression driver, fluid cooled, coupled to a molded low-resonance horn, offering excep- tionally low distortion. The 4200 Series is not limited to one form of music like many so-called "rock n' roll" speakers. Artist 4200s can faithfully reproduce the subtleties of jazz, pop or classical, while providing explosive dynamics for rock, fusion and rave style music.
Both the 4200 & 4200T come standard with an internal fitting for a tripod stand or Artist adjustable mast.

Ruggedly constructed of 18 ply per inch Baltic birch, coated with an advanced, durable polychromatic paint, finished with a damped steel grill and equipped with hard-anodized aluminum trim (T version only), the 4200 and 4200T will reliably meet the needs of artists and sound reinforcement professionals for many years to come.
